Custom Alaska Safari Tours from Homer
Adventure Tours in Alaska
Alaska custom safari tours from Homer let you combine bear viewing, glaciers, volcanoes, and scenic flightseeing into one unforgettable Alaska adventure. If you do not have time for our full Ultimate Safari, we can create a flexible partial-day trip just for your group.
With 23+ years of Alaska aviation, guiding, and wilderness experience, our team knows how to plan around weather, wildlife activity, aircraft options, and your goals for the day. We keep our groups small, move at a comfortable pace, and focus on giving you the best Alaska experience possible.
Want to see two national parks in one day? Some custom safari routes may include both Lake Clark National Park and Katmai National Park when conditions, timing, and aircraft availability allow. It is a special way to see more of wild Alaska in less time.
Every custom safari is built around the day. We may combine bear viewing, glacier flightseeing, volcano country, remote beaches, mountain scenery, or wildlife photography stops. Tell us what matters most, and we will help design the best route for your group.
We also help you prepare. Depending on the trip, we provide helpful gear such as binoculars, hip boots, rain gear, snacks, and other comfort items. Our goal is to make your day easier, safer, and more memorable.
We know it can be difficult to prepare for every eventuality on your Alaska vacation, so we want to take some of the worry out of this special day.
We provide:
- Snacks
- Binoculars
- Waterproof insulated gloves
- Hip waders, rain pants and jackets
- Bug spray
- Extra data cards
WHAT TO EXPECT
Activity Level
Low to Medium
Walking is easier than on most aircraft tours, but some walking over swampy, wet terrain may be involved. The footing is mostly level. We provide binoculars, hip boots, rain jackets, snacks, and plenty of fun. There is no need to walk quickly with us. Some terrain may be challenging, but we walk slowly and steadily to make it easier.
Trip Outline
A combination trip is ideal for adventurous guests or those with limited time who want to see more of Alaska in just a few days. Combination trips include more flight time, so prepare for additional helicopter scenery. We fit both adventures into the same timeframe as a standard bear safari. Depending on which location you prefer, we may stay longer at one than the other.
Duration
The total trip length is about six hours, with an average of two hours at each location. Ground time may be shorter or longer depending on group dynamics and weather. We provide binoculars, hip boots, rain jackets, snacks, and plenty of fun.
Your Guides
Our guides have extensive knowledge to share, helping create a safe and memorable experience. By the end of our time together, you will be wanting more. The return flight takes about the same amount of time, and before you know it, we will be hovering in for a landing with a memory card full of photos.
We hope this gives you an idea of your day with us. Feel free to review our frequently asked questions page, and call us with any other questions.
