Eric and Kirsten have been flying aircraft for over 20 years. Bear viewing brought Eric to Homer in the spring of 2002. Since then, they have taken over nine thousand bear viewers to the Alaska Peninsula (and back) without incident.
Eric grew up in Southern Wisconsin with his parents and one younger sister. His family was supportive of his flying lessons starting at age 15 back in 1987. Alaska offered him a chance at his first paying pilot job over 21 years ago. The beautiful warm, long, and sunny days of summer did a great job masking the realities of winter flying. It was a truly eye opening to experience winter with -40 degree temps and plenty of darkness.
Kirsten has a similar story except she was born in Fairbanks. Later, her family moved to Utah where she acquired a love for flying. Learning to fly in the high mountains of Utah gave her an edge when she moved back to Alaska. After 20 years of working around the state for a select few aviation companies she loves to share her experiences with her clients.
